Our Story

Why Aasra Was Incepted

Aasra was born from a reality faced by countless families across Pakistan.

When a loved one falls ill, ages, or is discharged from the hospital, families are suddenly expected to manage medical care, daily assistance, and emotional support at home — often without training, guidance, or reliable help.

Hospitals discharge patients earlier than ever.
Families are told to “manage at home.”
But in most cases, home is not prepared for medical responsibility.

Aasra was incepted to bridge this critical gap.

Our Values

Our Work Is Heavily Shaped by Our Core Values

Our Philosophy

Professional Care at Home

Care at home should never be casual. At Aasra, we believe it must be as accountable, structured, and professional as care delivered in a hospital — because patient safety and dignity come first.

Who We Exist For

Families When Trust Matters Most

Aasra exists for families who need more than just presence at home. We support elderly care, recovery after surgery, and critical or end-of-life care — when trust matters more than cost.

Our Commitment

Raising Home Care Standards

Aasra is committed to raising the standard of home healthcare in Pakistan through ethical practices, trained caregivers, and clear communication — because for many families, home care becomes a part of life.

Our Approach

Structured, Not Random Care

Our care model is built on verified caregivers, clearly defined roles, and ongoing coordination — ensuring continuity, accountability, and reliable support for families at every stage.

The Problem That Could No Longer Be Ignored

For years, home care in Pakistan has operated informally.

Families have been forced to rely on:

  • Word-of-mouth attendants

  • Unverified helpers claiming nursing experience

  • Caregivers with unclear or undefined responsibilities

  • No supervision, backup, or accountability

This fragmented system puts patients at risk and places enormous emotional and physical strain on families — especially when care becomes long-term, critical, or end-of-life.

Families are often left asking:

  • Is this person truly qualified?

  • Are medicines being given correctly?

  • What happens if something goes wrong at night?

  • Who do we call if the caregiver doesn’t show up?

Aasra was created because these questions should never be unanswered.

What Makes Aasra a System — Not Just a Service

Aasra is not a marketplace that simply “sends someone.” It is a structured care model built on responsibility, continuity, and oversight. Every caregiver is trained and verified, roles are clearly defined, and care is carefully matched to the patient’s medical condition. We stay actively involved through ongoing coordination, regular communication with families, and backup staffing with clear escalation pathways. This structured approach ensures care continues seamlessly — even when conditions change, recovery slows, or family needs evolve.

A Need of the Time

Pakistan’s healthcare needs are changing rapidly.

  • Life expectancy is increasing

  • Chronic illnesses are more common

  • Joint family systems are shrinking

  • More women are part of the workforce

  • Hospitals are overcrowded and increasingly expensive

Yet families still want care to happen at home — where patients feel safer, calmer, and more dignified.

This shift created an urgent need for:

  • Professional home nursing

  • Reliable elderly care

  • Structured attendant support

  • ICU-level care at home

  • Ethical palliative and end-of-life care

Aasra was designed as a response to this reality — not just as a business, but as a healthcare support system.
